  I took part of this project as an artist, representing the University of Vigo, and as a scholarship beneficiary, organyzing it together with the Dx5 Group at the final stage of the process, from October 2016 to June 2017.

  El pliego/Le pli/A folder  had as a goal to promote the cultural knowledge across frontiers by graphic design, multiplication, versatility and portability, revaluing the book format from his basic form: the folder. The space in the folder supposes the totallity divided in four different and solidary spaces, in which contiguity, sequence establish relations of opposition, reflexibility… The folder, as the book, can be opened and closed, it guards, shows and hides simultaneously.

 

  For this educational and investigative project, the Dx5 group met a selection of students, teachers and artists linked to workshops and groups of investigation in graphical art and edition, from different universities and centers of formation of different countries (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Spain, The United States, France, Mexico, Portugal, Serbia, Taiwan).

 

  Every participant was invited to intervene on both faces of a folded paper, using graphical technologies and/or any other resources that participants could use to generate as much copies as participant institutions. The purpose of the project was to assemble and to confront all the folders received in a unique great book without binding. This flexible format allows different combinations, like an 'exquisite corpse'.
